World Meditative Live Sessions (videos)

During the first confinement in May and June 2020, I had tried the experience of "Meditation" streams on Twitch. It consisted of offering two hours of improvised music, oscillating between the piano, the harmonium, the bodhrán, the ukulele, the carillon, the concertina and even the bouzouki and the guitar. Each session was therefore filmed live and recorded in Studio One.

Three music totally created at the time caught my attention and were thus selected to pass into the hands of Alex Haïkine (mixing and mastering) before being uploaded on my Youtube channel and on Bandcamp. There are two piano / voice improvisations and another concertina / harmonium / voice.

I know that there are a few people who follow me who would very much like me to offer meditative sessions like these again. It's planned ! Except that I realized that it was not such an easy exercise. Already you have to have good ideas (because yes, even if I create everything at the moment, I give myself indications in advance, a roadmap, in order to link quickly enough and not to think too much: which instruments, which tones , maybe a little melodic line or a series of chords ...), and then you have to let go and have confidence in your ideas that arise at the time (but on Twitch, it is difficult to detach yourself from the chat for example, a wrong note quickly arrived). In addition, I tried my hand at playing instruments that I did not master (especially stringed instruments). Too many wrong notes or hesitation to be accepted therefore.

But there, I was able to extract these three musics and I am rather happy. Tell me that over these 7 to 10 minutes each time, I was "touched by divine grace", it makes you want to have more! So to meet the demands, yes, I intend to release other videos of the same ilk, but it is very likely that I am not alone in this experience. First of all, there will be a direct with my sidekick Julien Destange (Cloud) who masters the ropes. This will allow me to concentrate better on vocals and other instruments. However, this will require trying, because the exercise will be brand new for my partner! Will alchemy be present?
